Batu Caves Murugan Statue, Hindu shrine in Malaysia
The Batu Caves Murugan Statue is the tallest statue of a Hindu deity in Malaysia and the third tallest statue of a Hindu deity in the world.
The statue, which took three years to construct, was unveiled in January 2006.
It represents Lord Murugan, a popular Hindu deity among Tamil people.
The statue is located near the city of Kuala Lumpur and attracts thousands of tourists each year.
The statue is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint.
