Jog Falls, Waterfall in India
Jog Falls, also known as Gerosoppa Falls or Joga Falls, is the second highest plunge waterfall in India.
The falls were known to the locals, but became well-known to the wider world after being discovered by British surveyors during colonial times.
The falls are a significant tourist attraction and are often visited during the monsoon season when they are at their most spectacular.
There are steps that lead down to the bottom of the hill for visitors who want a closer view of the falls.
Jog Falls is unique because it consists of four distinct cascades - known locally as Raja, Rani, Rover and Rocket.
