The Gallerie dell'Accademia is a museum gallery of pre-19th-century art in Venice.
Founded in 1750, the Gallerie dell'Accademia was originally the gallery of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.
It houses an unrivaled collection of Venetian painting up to the 18th century, including works by Bellini, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese and Tiepolo.
The museum is located on the south bank of the Grand Canal, within the sestiere of Dorsoduro.
The Gallerie dell'Accademia contains masterpieces of Venetian painting up to the 18th century, collected under the supervision of the patriarchs of Venice.
