Palazzo Farnese, Renaissance palace in Rome

Owned by the Farnese family, it was designed in 1517 and expanded when Alessandro Farnese became Pope Paul III in 1534.

The palace's interior is richly decorated with frescoes by artists such as Annibale Carracci and Francesco Salviati.

Today, Palazzo Farnese houses the French embassy in Italy.

It has the largest roof garden in Europe.
