The Ruins, Mansion ruins in the Philippines
The Ruins is a mansion located in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines.
Built in the early 1900s by sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson, it was burned down during World War II to prevent Japanese forces from using it as a headquarters.
The mansion's Italianate architecture reflects the cultural influence of foreign countries on the Philippines.
Today, The Ruins is a popular tourist spot known for its beautiful sunset views.
Despite being a ruin, the mansion has maintained its grandeur and is often referred to as the 'Taj Mahal of Negros'.
