The Eisenhower Executive Office Building is a U.S. government building situated just west of the White House in the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C.
Constructed between 1871 and 1888 in the French Second Empire style, it was formerly known as the Old Executive Office Building.
It houses a majority of offices for White House staff and has been the workplace of numerous high-ranking officials throughout history.
While not open to the general public, it can be viewed from many vantage points around the city.
The building's granite, slate and cast iron exterior makes it one of America's best examples of the French Second Empire style of architecture.
