Château Louis XIV, Castle in Louveciennes, France
Château Louis XIV is a château constructed between 2008 and 2011 in the commune of Louveciennes, in the Yvelines department.
The Château Louis XIV was built on the site of a former castle belonging to Louis XIV's finance minister Nicolas Fouquet.
The château is designed in the style of 17th-century French Classicism while incorporating modern high-tech features.
In 2015, it was reportedly sold to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for over $300 million, making it the most expensive house ever sold.
Despite its classic appearance, the château includes modern amenities such as a cinema, a squash court, two ballrooms, and a moat with a transparent underwater chamber.
