The Butt-Millet Memorial Fountain is a neoclassical structure located near the White House.
Dedicated in 1913, it honors Archibald Butt and Francis Davis Millet who perished on the Titanic.
Created by architect Thomas Hastings and sculptor Daniel Chester French.
Managed by the National Park Service, it's a public memorial visited by many.
Its inscription does not mention the Titanic, instead commemorates Butt and Millet's friendship.
