Sedlec Ossuary, Ossuary in Sedlec, Czech Republic
The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic chapel, located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints.
The ossuary contains the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people, whose bones have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.
It is one of the most visited tourist attractions of the Czech Republic, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually.
The ossuary is open to the public and can be accessed via a short walk from the Kutná Hora train station.
The chandelier of the Sedlec Ossuary, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body, is particularly notable.
