The Steel Bridge is a through truss, double-deck vertical-lift bridge across the Willamette River.
Opened in 1912, it's the second oldest vertical-lift bridge in North America.
It's an iconic part of Portland's skyline and a symbol of its industrial past.
The bridge carries railroad, bicycle, pedestrian, and motor vehicle traffic.
It's the only double-deck bridge with independent lifts in the world.
