Ardwold, Historic house in Canada
Ardwold was once the magnificent residence of Sir John Craig Eaton.
Built in 1909, Ardwold incorporated elements from various architectural styles.
The name 'Ardwold' is derived from Old English, meaning 'high green hill'.
Though the estate no longer exists, its gates can still be seen at Casa Loma's northern end.
Ardwold served as an inspiration for modern Canadian architecture.
