Established on May 5, 1919, it is recognized as one of the tallest free-standing masonry structures in the world and is enlisted in National Register of Historic Places.
Located in Anaconda, this flue-gas stack is an important part of Montana’s industrial history, symbolizing the region's significant contribution to the copper mining industry.
Currently, it stands as a tourist attraction and is preserved under state law as a historic site.
