The Lava Creek Tuff is a tuff formation in Wyoming, United States, created by the eruption of the Yellowstone Caldera around 640,000 years ago.
This eruption was one of the largest on Earth in the last two million years, spreading a layer of volcanic ash over much of North America.
The Lava Creek Tuff and its surrounding area are part of the Yellowstone National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
