Echinus Geyser, Geyser in the United States of America
Echinus Geyser is one of the most acidic geysers in Yellowstone National Park.
First scientifically described by the Hayden Geological Survey of 1871.
It was named for its spiny, echinoid-like sinter deposits.
Visitors can reach Echinus Geyser via a short hike from Norris Geyser Basin.
Famous for its large, brightly-colored acidic pool and periodic eruptions.
