Peyto Lake, Glacial lake in Banff National Park, Canada
Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies.
The lake was named after Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area.
It's a popular spot for tourists due to its bright turquoise color in summer.
The best views of the lake are from Bow Summit, the highest point on the Icefields Parkway.
The lake gets its color from the large amounts of glacier rock flour that flow into it during the summer months.
