Ocean Park Hong Kong, Theme park in Hong Kong
Ocean Park Hong Kong, commonly known as Ocean Park, is a marine mammal park, oceanarium, animal theme park and amusement park situated in the Southern District of Hong Kong.
Opened in 1977 by the then Governor of Hong Kong Sir Murray MacLehose, Ocean Park became popular but went into decline in the 1990s due to aging facilities and competition from Hong Kong Disneyland.
The park is committed to promoting and supporting animal conservation throughout Asia and contributing to the biodiversity of the world.
Ocean Park offers a variety of attractions including roller coasters, animal exhibits, shows, and a cable car system that provides stunning views of the surrounding area.
It is one of the few parks in the world that houses both pandas and koalas.
