The Valentin submarine pens is a massive bunker built during World War II for the German navy to construct submarines.
Construction began in February 1943 using forced labor but the bunker was severely damaged by Allied bombing in March 1945 before it could be completed.
Nowadays, it serves as a memorial to those who were forced to work and suffered during this time.
Located in Rekumer Siel, 28777 Bremen, Germany.
It is the largest fortified U-boat facility in Germany and considered a cultural heritage monument.
