Pandroseion, Ancient sanctuary in Greece
The Pandroseion was a sanctuary dedicated to Pandrosus, one of the daughters of Cecrops.
Located on the north side of the Acropolis of Athens, it dates back to antiquity.
It was associated with the ancient religious practices of the Athenians.
Today, the site offers a lens into the storied past of Classical Athens.
Noted for its olive tree that was believed to be a gift from the goddess Athena.
