The Grand Trianon is a French Baroque style palace located in the northwestern part of the Domain of Versailles.
Built in the late 17th century, it was used as a retreat for Louis XIV and his court.
It's known for its geometrically arranged gardens and its role in the signing of treaties.
Today, it serves as a museum and is open to the public.
Unlike many royal residences, the Grand Trianon was built primarily of pink marble.
