Salon d'Hercule, State room in France
The Salon of Hercules is a grand room in the Palace of Versailles.
Begun under Louis XIV and completed by Louis XV.
Features artworks illustrating Hercules's twelve labors.
Currently used for official palace functions.
Contains one of the largest paintings within the palace, 'The Apotheosis of Hercules'.
