La Pyramide Inversée, Inverted Pyramid in France

The Inverted Pyramid is a skylight constructed in the Carrousel du Louvre, an underground shopping mall in front of the Louvre Museum in France.

Designed by architect I. M. Pei, the Inverted Pyramid was completed in 1993 as part of the Grand Louvre project.

The Inverted Pyramid has become a popular cultural symbol, particularly after being featured in Dan Brown's novel 'The Da Vinci Code'.

Visitors can view the Inverted Pyramid from inside the Carrousel du Louvre or from a balcony in the Louvre Museum.

Unlike traditional pyramids, the Inverted Pyramid is designed with the point facing downwards.
