Designed by architect I. M. Pei, the Inverted Pyramid was completed in 1993 as part of the Grand Louvre project.
The Inverted Pyramid has become a popular cultural symbol, particularly after being featured in Dan Brown's novel 'The Da Vinci Code'.
Visitors can view the Inverted Pyramid from inside the Carrousel du Louvre or from a balcony in the Louvre Museum.
