Kabukichō is an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.
Named after a kabuki theater, which was planned to be built there during the 1940s.
Known as 'Sleepless Town', it's famous for hosts bars, love hotels, shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and a thriving nightlife.
Most establishments operate until the early morning hours, offering various forms of entertainment.
Contained within Kabukichō is Golden Gai, an area of tiny shanty-style bars and clubs.
