Westminster Bridge, Bridge in London
Westminster Bridge is a road-and-foot-traffic bridge over the River Thames in London.
The current bridge, opened in 1862, replaced an earlier bridge that was completed in 1750.
The bridge is painted predominantly green, the same color as the leather seats in the House of Commons which is on the side of the Palace of Westminster nearest to the bridge.
It is a key route for buses heading south from the city center and a popular spot for tourists due to its views of the Houses of Parliament.
Westminster Bridge is the oldest road bridge across the Thames in central London.
