Colony Club, Social club in New York City
The Colony Club is a women-only private social club located at 564 Park Avenue, New York City.
Founded in 1903 by Florence Jaffray Harriman, wife of J. Borden Harriman, and other wealthy women, it was the first social club established in New York that was run by women, for women.
The club has played host to a variety of events, including debutante balls, dinners and parties, contributing significantly to the social life of New York's elite.
Today, the club maintains its tradition as a meeting place for high society, while also serving as a venue for private events.
The Colony Club's building, designed by Delano & Aldrich, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
