The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is a historic hotel located at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
Named after Theodore Roosevelt and financed by a group including Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford and Louis B. Mayer, the hotel first opened its doors on May 15, 1927.
It has hosted many celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, who lived there for two years, and it's known as the location of the first Academy Awards ceremony.
The hotel offers 300 rooms and suites, a heated outdoor swimming pool, several bars and restaurants, and is within walking distance to many popular Hollywood attractions.
The hotel's pool is painted by the acclaimed artist David Hockney.
