Baksei Chamkrong, Hindu temple in Cambodia
Baksei Chamkrong is a small Hindu temple located in the Angkor region, near Phnom Bakheng.
The temple was dedicated to Lord Shiva and dates back to the 10th century, constructed during the reign of King Harshavarman I.
It features a single tower made of brick and sandstone with intricate carvings depicting Hindu mythology.
Visitors can access Baksei Chamkrong through the main circuit road in Angkor Archaeological Park.
Its name translates to 'The Bird Who Shelters Under Its Wings', reflecting local legends associated with the site.
