Dalhousie Obelisk, Monument in Singapore
The Dalhousie Obelisk is located in the Civic District of Singapore.
It was erected in 1850 in memory of Lord Dalhousie's visit to Singapore.
The obelisk commemorates the second Governor-General of India.
It is situated near the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.
Designed by John Turnbull Thomson, it is a symbol of early colonial Singapore.
